2012 BMW M5 MotoGP Safety Car

The F10 M5 MotoGP Safety Car features an Akropovic lightweight titanium race exhaust, high performance coilover suspension, gloss black 20-inch wheels, front spoiler lip, trunk spoiler, Recaro Pole Position bucket seats (on power seat rails) and race brake pads. It also features black (either matte or gloss) side gill trim and kidney grilles, dispensing with the factory chrome versions for a more racing-inspired look. (continued below)

The engine has not been upgraded in any way, but it is safe to say that the BMW M5 MotoGP Safety Car features the optional M Driver's Package which lifts the top speed to 190 mph.

The first public outing for the new safety car, which replaces the BMW 1 M Coupe MotoGP Safety Car used thus far, was at the Indianapolis MotoGP race (August 26-28th).

The video below was taken during the M5's police escorted drive from the race track to downtown Indianapolis, where it was shown off to BMW M Experience VIPs and passerbys.
