Despite freezing temperatures and snow, Andy Gulden, the chief instructor for
the Nurburgring Driving Academy takes a single-seater formula racer for a spin
on the Nurburgring racetrack.
The Green Hell, as the Nurburgring Nordschleife is also called, is a tricky
course with very little room for error. Therefore, Andy makes a few laps on the
Nurburgring Grand Prix track first in order to acclimatize himself to these
un-natural conditions for a formula car, before he goes on to tackle the
Nordschleife.
Gulden doesn't hold back on the accelerator, either. Judging by the video, we
estimate that he is pushing the car to over 150 mph (240 km/h) on the back
straight, which is pretty brave in these circumstances.
